Odessa Primus
Description:

Go Think Initiative is a newly founded NGO in the Czech Republic. We are based in Prague’s Old Town, and our focus is implementing media literacy across Central Europe.

Our founder, Odessa Primus, was inspired to start Go Think Initiative after returning from volunteering with refugees in Greece and Lebanon, and seeing the amount of misinformation circulating in Czech news about the migrants that created political tension.

Go Think Initiative’s goals are to promote a movement towards greater media literacy in Europe, and to make it a top priority topic in international symposiums, conferences, and on the agendas of policymakers and legislators.

Our current projects include the execution of a series of professional media literacy workshops, called V4 Think Media Workshops, that will be held in the Visegrad country capitals beginning in 2018. We are currently in the process of reaching out to partners, conducting research, creating promotional content, and assembling material for the workshops.

As an intern at Go Think, you have the potential to have an impact on how our organisation will work for years to come. You will work both independently and in a team, and will have the opportunity to organise and execute your own projects and ideas in the area of your interest. For example, if you are interested in social media, you can assist the team with managing social media pages. If you are interested in journalism, you can assist in conducting interviews and writing articles for our blog.

The basic responsibilities of the intern will include:

  • Actively participating in the development and execution of projects, activities, and events

  • Actively researching opportunities for Go Think for partnerships, sponsorships, and projects

  • Assisting the Go Think team with organisational and administrative tasks

  • Translation from English to Czech (for Czech-speaking interns)

Depending on your focus as an intern, you will also have the opportunity to complete other tasks such as:

  • Grant writing and general copywriting

  • Create blog and other social media content

  • Create and update website content

  • Design of graphic templates and promotional material
